The Challenge
Despite the company’s excellence in delivering care, Amedisys lacked a cohesive visual identity as well as internal and external clarity. Their biggest marketing and communications tool – the website – did not meet ADA compliance guidelines and was inaccessible on mobile devices. Patients and caregivers had difficulty determining which of the company’s many services best suited their needs. Disorganized, dense technical language was challenging for users to understand, driving them to seek other options.
The Strategy
After extensive research and analysis, Zehnder’s was tasked with evolving the Amedisys brand to clearly represent its services and identity: daily, compassionate care in the home.
In addition to a new logo, video, business set, and flyer templates, Zehnder completely redesigned the Amedisys website. A new digital foundation responded to all screen sizes and device types, delivering content in an approachable way for everyone – including the visually and hearing impaired. All language was edited to align with the warmth and clarity of the new brand voice, resonating with target audiences. We created content supporting this mission, including a “start here” quiz with resources and strong calls to action, enabling users to easily explore services and become clients.
Finally, Zehnder implemented an advanced content management solution so the Amedisys team could easily update content for 420+ care centers, quickly making changes to the site as services expanded.
